What to expect
Your first appointment, called an Assessment Session, lasts up to one hour. This session gives you the opportunity to learn more about our services while the counsellor listens to your concerns and explores your needs. Together, you’ll decide whether Relate Birmingham and Black Country is the right option for you. If it isn’t, we’ll recommend alternative services that may better suit your situation.
If you choose to continue with counselling, we’ll guide you through the next steps. This includes gathering your details, discussing costs to ensure they’re affordable, checking availability, and starting the process.

QBCheck Costs
QbCheck are conducted in a 45 minute appointment which includes a pre-screening questionnaire and 15 minute computer test for 7 – 11 year olds and a 20 minute computer test for 12+. You will receive an explanation of your results and a copy of your report. Cost £170.

1:1 Coaching
1:1 Coaching is for provides practical support for individuals experiencing ADHD traits or to parents supporting their child with ADHD traits. Sessions are 50 minutes long, delivered online or in person and focus on developing strategies for managing daily challenges and enhancing well-being. Cost £60 per session.

Group Coaching
Group coaching is delivered in an 8-week programme to provide practical strategies to help individuals (7+) or parents/carers manage ADHD traits effectively. Sessions run weekly (50 minutes) online or in-person, with groups tailored by age. £20 per session.

Support & Talk
ADHD Series are hour long webinars and discussion spaces covering key ADHD topics. There are different webinar options for young people, individual adults or parents/carers to attend. Free to attend.
